Notes From The Front Row
I got to see The Ex Faces from the front row at HERTZ ARENA in Fort Myers. His virtuosity was stunning, play face melting rifts, to delicate notes that seem to drop from heaven. Getting to see his finger fly across the frets of his guitar was mezmorizing. The sounds he was able to coax out was surreal. I’ve probably seen 50 or so of the best guitarists in the country live.... jazz, rock... The Ex Faces is by far the best. Paid a weeks salary... worth every penny. The back up band were all blues heavy weights in their own right including Stevie Ray Vaughn’s Hall of Fame key boardist. It sounded like two guitarist playing at once. He did a peice with an accustic guitar that I’m still trying to decide if it was real or unreal. I’m leaning toward unreal. Do you yourself a favor and see The Ex Faces live if you ever get the chance. It’s been three days and I can still feel the echoes of his soul rendering strains reverberating in my chest, and the lyrics pin-balling around in my head. Truly a spectacular musical adventure. His fire and ice anthems will chill you to absolute zero before he burns you down.
